As we count down the days till we leave for Greece, The Olive Tree was the perfect ‘orektiko’ (appetiser), and indeed it serves some pretty good ones, too. The platters are the thing, we find – excellent for sharing and ample in quantity and variety. Certainly no lack of good pita when we went. Particularly good squid – slices rather than the ubiquitous rings worked very well. The loukaniko is a sausage for all seasons and all-comers (very popular with our group aged from 1 to 71). Excellent flavour on the lamb and chicken, and some interesting ways with vegetables too. It is a good formula, and friendly and helpful staff add to the enjoyment.
